ABCs of Photography – C is for Church

This series is part of an on-going 26-week project entitled the ABCs of Photography in which I take a few photographs each week centered on on specific letter of the alphabet.
C is for Church- I live very close to a small country church. The church is so small and inconspicuous that it is barely noticeable when driving by on the road. Living near this church for four years, this was the first time I took time to photograph it. The resulting photos portray the church as desolate, isolated and abandoned...an interesting stark contrast to Sunday mornings when it comes alive with cheerful parishioners celebrating the Sabbath.
