Location and Date: Front Royal, VA – December 2010
The Details: This was my last wedding of 2010, so it was appropriate that it was for Brittany, one of my most popular photo subjects over the past year. I photographed her engagement session with Wesley, a family portrait session of her family and then finally, her wonderful wedding at the Front Royal United Methodist Church. It’s been a great year, and I thank Brittany and Wes for their support
Testimonial: “You will not find a better photographer in the area than Aaron Riddle! He is accommodating, professional, timely, affordable, and extremely talented. Our wedding day was such a blur, I could not remember any of it until I looked back at our photographs. Aaron successfully captured each and every joyous moment for us on camera and gave us beautiful memories of our special day!” — Brittany Watson Stepp

Location and Date: Old Town Winchester, VA – December 2010
The Details: I met DJ and Alicia on Twitter, which is awesome because I probably never would of met them otherwise. I had been trading tweets back and forth about sports and the TV show 24 with DJ for a year or so, and he even referred some photography work to me, so I was thrilled when he and his wife wanted me to take their photos. We hung out in downtown Winchester for an hour during one afternoon. It was pretty cold, but when your having fun you don’t mind the chilly temps!
Testimonial: “From start to finish, Aaron was a treat to deal with. He’s extremely organized, professional and knows how to create a great photo. Our portrait session couldn’t have gone any better or been more fun. Bottomline: Stop worrying. Hire him for your next event or family portrait session. You won’t be sorry.” – DJ Lein

Location and Date: Milton Ridge Chapel – Clarksburg, MD - November 2010
The Details: I knew from the moment I met Mark and Miranda during our engagement photo session, that they would be a couple I would never forget. They are such genuinely nice people that it was my honor to be a part of their wedding day at the Milton Ridge Chapel. From the groom and his brother playing backgammon before the ceremony to the sparkler exit with a kiss, this wedding will be one that I will never forget.
Testimonial: “Words can not express how much your photography means. Every picture is stunning. We could not be happier. You caught every smile, glance, greeting and lets not forget…. dance move! Mark and I will forever be able to relive our wedding day through those stilled moments and we can not thank you enough. So for one last time, thank you, for everything.” – Miranda Goodson

Location and Date: Prince William Marine – Woodbridge, VA – October 2010
The Details: Boating Industry is the most reputable magazine when it comes to boat dealers and buyers. Therefore I was honored that I was referred to them by a friend to take a photograph for the cover of a commemorative issue. Carlton Phillips and the Price William Marine staff were named the number 1 dealer of the year for 2010. Boating Industry requested that I discreetly visit Mr. Phillips and take his photograph for use on the cover of the commemorative issue. Mr. Phillips was awesome and gave me a thorough tour of his facility as we stopped here and there for some different shots.
Testimonial: “In the magazine business we are always short on time and Aaron was able to work within our budget for the shoot and was always easy to get in touch with. He was also available on short notice and understood the shoot was a sensitive one, that needed to be handled as confidential. I received the final pictures shortly after the shoot and was very happy with the quality and quantity of photos. The different angles and locations Aaron chose to shoot him at were fantastic. At our event, Mr. Phillips approached me and had nothing but good things to say about Aaron and how he made the shoot painless and easy. That is greatly appreciated.” – Dodi Vessels, Boating Industry Magazine

Location and Date: Harpers Ferry, WV – November 2010
The Details: Tommy and Elise are from Maryland, so we planned to meet at a half-way point for their engagement session….Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. On this particular weekend, Harpers Ferry was jammed packed with tourists, so we decided to explore the outskirts of the town for some unique photo opportunities. After finding railroad tracks, bridges, rivers and stone arches, we were not disappointed!

Location and Date: Strasburg, VA – November 2010
The Details: Emily’s grandparents own some property and farmland on the outskirts of Strasburg, VA. In fact, her family has a lot of history and traditions associated with the land, so she requested that we do the engagement shoot there. What ensued was a great time walking by the river, climbing trees, visiting a suspended bridge and enjoying the breath-taking scenery of the area.

Location and Date: Winchester, VA – November 2010
The Details: When I think of weddings I have photographed, different aspects of them always pop into my mind first. Sometimes it is the uniqueness of the venue, while other times it is the different people attending the wedding. For Christopher and Elizabeth’s wedding, it was the lighting. Every aspect of their wedding from the church ceremony to the reception had fantastic natural light shining through the windows. I wish every wedding day could be as well lit as theirs was!
Testimonial: “Aaron was great! My whole family is pleased with how well the photos turned out and how quickly we received the CD. Some of my friends have waited months for theirs. Thank you very much, Aaron!.” – Elizabeth Boyd Lorenz

Location and Date: The Blandy Experimental Farm – Boyce, VA – October 2010
The Details: For Ryan and Casey’s engagement session, I returned to The Blandy Experimental Farm in Boyce, VA. I have been here for a few other engagement / portrait sessions, but never this late in the year. Before I arrived I was a little concerned how “nice” the scenery would look in the off season with nothing in bloom. However I realized that the farm is actually quite large with a diverse range of settings to produce some creative photographs.
Testimonial: “We love how our photos turned out and could not be more pleased!” – Casey Longo
