Photo Session Date: July 3, 2010
Photo Session Location: The Inn at Little Washington, Washington, VA
Photo Session Details: Andrew and Bridget held a small ceremony for immediate family only at The Inn at Little Washington, a beautiful venue with lodging and a restaurant located in the historic town first surveyed by President George Washington. Part of the excitement surrounding this wedding was that only the immediate family attending knew of the couple’s marriage…all other extended family and friends would find out by way of a special announcement sent out early the following week. That really added to my excitement of this “secret” wedding knowing that the photographs would be used in the announcement (the couple and I agreed in the contract to a very quick turn-around with the photos so they could get the announcement printed while on their honeymoon). Congratulations to Andrew and Bridget on their marriage and for holding such a beautiful ceremony!
Testimonial: “Aaron’s work speaks for itself. He is super artistic and extremely knowledable about the elements of photgraphaphy. My wedding photos are a show-stopper. All of my friends and family are astounded by how gorgeous they are. I couldn’t be happier with the result. He is so professional and every component of his packages are top rate. He provided us with a CD of our images and included a custom case that is beautiful. He does not need instruction and knows how to jump in capture the magic of the moment. However, he also is more than happy to take instruction (especailly from mother’s–ha!) and his main objection was to please the customer. He was so pleasant to work with. I cannot say enough about how happy we are witht he final product. He did a fantastic job and i would whole-heartedly reccommend him to anyone that I know.” – Bridget

Photo Session Date: June 29, 2010
Photo Session Location: Front Royal, Virginia
Photo Session Details: Wes and Brittany are getting married in Front Royal this December, and Wes grew up in Front Royal…so it made sense for them to have their engagement session there. We had fun walking around the main street taking photos in and around the town. Wes also has a huge truck full of horsepower, so it was obligatory that we include it in a few of the photographs. I’ve known Brittany for a few years working together at the same community college, so I really enjoyed taking these photos and am looking forward to photographing their wedding in December! I have also included below a sample of the save-the-date card I designed for Brittany and Wes as well.
Testimonial: “The pictures turned out great! I had a lot of fun, thank you so much for your great work!” – Brittany

Photo Session Date: June 20, 2010
Photo Session Location: The State Arboretum of Virginia
Photo Session Details: This was my second outing to the Blandy Experimental Farm (the State Arboretum of Virginia) for engagement photographs. I met Tim and Lisa there on Father’s day evening in which the light and weather turned out to be stellar. I took time to stake out the grounds for 30 minutes or so before Lisa and Tim arrived and I was able to discover a few locations I was unaware of during my first visit to the Arboretum. We were even able to make use of a metal structure for a “kissing through the gate” photo.
Testimonial: “Thank you so much for the engagement photos. Tim and I both loved how they turned out!” – Lisa

Photo Session Date: June 11, 2010
Photo Session Location: The State Arboretum of Virginia
Photo Session Details: The Virginia Arboretum is a popular place for engagement photos, yet this was the first time I has the opportunity to hold a session there. Needless to say I will be returning again! Mike and Annie (and their little baby boy Aiden) met me at the Arboretum on a warm Friday afternoon. For those that have never been, admission to the Arboretum is free and it is like a big open park full of a variety of flower gardens, trees and very natural scenic walkways. Annie, Mike and Aiden all did fantastic posing and acting natural in front of the camera. I’m now in the process of having a wall photo / canvas mount made for Annie of one of the photos, which is a huge honor (knowing that someone values my work enough to hang over their fireplace).
Testimonial: “Aaron, I had to look at the pictures several times before I could narrow it down. You have received numerous compliments. My mom, who has quite the artistic eye, is very impressed. I have also had two of my friends with photography degrees look at them and they are equally impressed. Thank you for doing such a great job. I am so looking forward to the wedding pictures!” – Annie

Photo Session Date: June 13, 2010
Photo Session Details: Jennifer is a friend of my wife’s who is having me photograph her wedding in 2011. For her and her fiancé’s (Josh) engagement session, we chose Lake Raystown as the location since it is very scenic (and Jennifer grew up close by). Lake Raystown is a very large freshwater, man-made lake located in central Pennsylvania, tucked in-between mountains. My wife grew up a few miles from the lake and I have been fortunate enough to see it quite a few times when we visit her family. It is a really gorgeous place to visit, camp, fish and go boating if you ever get the chance.
Testimonial: I absolutely love the pictures!! I have looked through them at least a dozen times already! – Jennifer

Photo Session Date: June 11, 2010
Photo Session Location: Annapolis, MD
Photo Session Details: Having photographed one wedding at the Maryland Renaissance Festival (otherwise known as RennFest) last year, I was super excited to be contacted by Dale and Stacy to photograph their wedding at the RennFest this October. Stacy is a belly dancer who performs frequently at the Renaissance Festival and other venues around Maryland. She met Dale at the festival itself. Since the RennFest does not begin until late August, we chose to hold the engagement shoot in beautiful downtown Annapolis, MD by the State House building. I grew up 20 minutes from Annapolis so it was wonderful to return to my hometown stomping grounds and take photographs of a super fun and enjoyable couple. Their wedding is going to be awesome!
Testimonial: Oh Aaron, I love the photos! The pictures turned out WONDERFUL! We are very happy with them and what a fun time it was

Photo Session Date: June 4, 2010
Photo Session Location: Jim Barnett Park, Winchester, VA
Photo Session Details: I met with Dale and Amber at Jim Barnett Park for their engagement photographs. I had never held an engagement session at the park before, so I arrived a bit early to scope out the location. To my surprise the park was very well kept and much more scenic than I thought (I had only previously visited the park for my kids’ swimming lessons). Dale and Amanda were naturals in front of the camera and we were even treated to seeing several adorable baby ducks in the nearby pond. Dale and Amanda are getting married in September and I am really looking forward to being a part of their wedding!
Testimonial: Dale and I love love LOVE the photos. You did an amazing job and we are very pleased and very excited for you to do the wedding. – Amanda

Photo Session Date: May 29, 2010
Photo Session Location: Winchester, Virginia
Photo Session Details: Corey and Amber’s (view their engagement session) wedding was held at the Greenwood United Methodist Church in Winchester, Virginia. It was a bright sunny day and that helped to really illuminate the interior of the church, allowing for some great lighting. The ceremony was traditional, however Corey and Amber decided to make a unity sand sculpture (using blue and white sand) as opposed to a unity candle, which was a really fantastic idea. That way they have something permanent to cherish from their wedding ceremony, along with the photographs I took for them. Also their reception featured two unique items as well: centerpiece fish bowls with beta fish and a groom cake of a bride holding back the groom from a car (Corey is a mechanic and certified car nut). Congratulations to Corey and Amber!
